I grew up as the skinniest kid in my age group. My physique was something I was constantly mocked for, to the point where even family members questioned my parents about my health because I looked underfed. The truth was, I was eating consistently, three to four meals a day. I wasn't unhealthy, I just wasn't gaining weight. Unfortunately, the advice around me was misinformed. Doctors suggested a "fat diet," which really meant eating junk food under the assumption that junk food = weight gain, problem solved. It wasn't. All it did was waste money and fuel me with garbage.
At the start of my Grade 11 year, I decided to take control. I began lifting weights with the sole goal of putting on size, and that decision changed my life. In four months, I gained 25 pounds, going from 115 lbs to 140 lbs, while maintaining the same body fat percentage. People around me couldn't ignore the transformation. Friends, classmates, and even strangers started asking how I did it. I began giving advice for free, and I realized something quickly: I loved it. Helping people improve their lives and hearing how much it genuinely helped them became the foundation of what I do today.
